Designer’s Bio

Hi There!  Welcome! 

 

I have always been creative.  I began drawing at a very young age, and later gained the technical skills at the Antelope Valley Community College.   I have sold art pieces in Los Angeles County.  A few of my pieces were displayed at the Lancaster Museum of Art and History - MOAH, located in the Antelope Valley area:

Before pursuing my B.S. degree in Interior Design, I worked for LoJack Corporation (stolen vehicle tracking and recovery) for 9 1/2 years.  I certainly gained most of my customer service, technical, administrative, organizational and leadership skills from my employment with LoJack.  

 

I became interested in Interior Design more specifically, as I was styling my own residence and getting inspiration from my favorite channel (then), HGTV.  My two main inspirations at that time were Ty Pennington (Xtreme Makeover Home Edition) and Designer Nate Berkus.

 

I later received my Bachelor of Science degree in Interior Design, at The Art Institute of CA - Sacramento (campus) in the summer of 2016. I decided to go for my B.S. in Interior Design as it is both technical and creative, and I enjoy making spaces feel like home.

My years at The Art Institute as an Interior Design student were very beneficial.  I now understand the architectural and structural design aspects of this profession, which comes prior to making an interior space aesthetically pleasing. 

In early 2015, I received my first design referral (from an I.D. Instructor at The Art Institute). I also appeared on the Christmas 2014 episode of Treehouse Masters! Furthermore, I worked at Medimer Marble & Granite as a Design Specialist for a few years.

Today, I am a Designer at M. Neils Engineering, Inc. located in the Sacramento area (site link above). I am never too busy though!
